This area provides 95% of Il Senso De Acqua's food supplies. Fields of grain, wheat and corn feed both the citizens and the herd animals which are also raised here. The district is home and workplace to hundreds of laborers, farmers, and herdsman who's soul purpose is to keep the city fed. In exchange for their labors, they earn a meager pay but are allowed to keep some of the food for themselves, so while the work is hard these citizens have it much better than many in the city. Now, of course, the soil's nutrients are waning. The crops are smaller and sparser and the animals are thinner. Coupled with the city's water shortage, it is only a matter of a year or two at the most before the Agricultural District will be little more than a barren dusty meadow. |
