Campaign Regions

The Regions of Myrddin are wide and varied. The world since the cataclysm is finally being reclaimed and new areas are constantly being rediscovered.

Il Senso de Acqua

Il Senso GeneralIl Senso de Acqua is the City of Waterways. Greco-Romanesque in culture, its citizens are mostly human. They love athletic competitions and sporting events. There’s a Caesar, a Senate, a legion, and numerous guilds. Elves, dwarves and other minorities are treated fairly, and there are temples to every major deity. The people of the Waterways also do a good deal of boating as many of their streets are actually canals instead of roads.

With several newly-discovered cities in the surrounding area now allied with IL Senso, the once-great city’s influence is once again on the rise. Its legions again march forth to battle evil forces and the city begins once more to flourish. But dark forces lurk all around, seeking to bring down this jewel of the coast… And internal intrigue by powerful, greedy cabals isn’t going to help.

Il Senso is one of the most developed surviving cities of Myrddin. For a detailed guide of the city, its quarters, residents and main buildings, see the Il Senso website.

Haven

IsilmeHaven is a recently discovered city several days journey north of Il Senso de Acqua and has an alliance with the Caesar of Il Senso. A Matriarchy ruled by the young Duchess Arianna, Haven has recently weathered a massive attack by evil forces. As the city struggles to rebuild itself, now more than ever adventurers are needed to explore the surrounding countryside and to bring in new trade and alliances.

Faringold

Faringold is a recently discovered city two weeks’ travel to the Northeast of Il Senso de Acqua and has an alliance with the Caesar of Il Senso. A medieval duchy ruled by Duke Faringold, the city commands a sprawling area of influence which extends from the Braathmoore mountains in the north to the city of Desburg along the ocean’s coast to the south. Along the well-traveled Duke’s Road, many opportunities exist for adventure…

The Southern Seas

The ocean to the south of Il Senso is scattered with isles, archipelagos and – it is rumored – underwater civilizations. The main naval expedition exploring these vast seas is the Dragon Wings, the legendary vessel whose skeleton crew never sleeps and aids the adventurers in their quest.

Achive

Achive NobleWith many of its outer city walls crumbled from a siege held long ago, the city of Achive looks run down and abandoned from afar. A subtle warning to resident and visitor alike that looks are not all what they seem. Because through the ages, the city survived.

Due to the limited space inside the wall, Achive has been forced to grow vertically casting the city floor in shadow for most of the day.

No one remains that can remember the battle that resulted in the siege and subsequent destruction, and maybe that’s a good thing. Rumor and legend tell of a great war, of human against lycanthrope, the numbers on each side dwindling down eventually to a few hundred. The war only ending when miraculously a vein of silver was struck deep in the bowels of the under-combs.

Years pass, and the reasons forgotten… and the silver… has run out.

Welcome to The City of the Moonstruck. Achive.

Nekhen

NekhenNobleThe city of Nekhen is located alongside a life-giving river in the midst of a vast desert landscape. Ruled by Pharaoh Mentuhotep-Re, its people are content, knowing their living god is amongst them and watches over their lives. But, like other cities following the Cataclysm, Nekhen is slowly dying. Courageous adventurers are needed to brave the burning sands and voracious desert creatures in order to bring new life to this great city.

But all is not as it seems in the city. There are rumors of unholy rituals, strange disappearances, and most troubling of all, evidence that the entire history of Nekhen is a lie, causes stirrings of unease amongst the people.

What is the real truth? Where does your true duty to Nekhen lie? And, if these rumors are true, what are you going to do about it?
